Barefoot Shoes Differences

Barefoot shoes are quite similar to regular shoes barring a few things. To begin with, the concept of barefoot shoes, unlike other shoes, is not to change or “improve” how you move, but to allow your body and your own mind to take that decision without altering your movement pattern.

Barefoot shoes have the following features that make them different from regular shoes -

  1. Wide toe box - for your toes to have room to splay

  2. Flat, Zero Drop Sole - No heel to toe drop so your posture always stays natural

  3. Flexible Sole - Complete freedom of movement for your feet

  4. No cushion or support - For a natural movement pattern

  5. Lightweight - So it feels like you’re wearing nothing

  6. Thin sole - So you can feel the earth under your feet

All these features of barefoot shoes allow you the ability to move more naturally and truly explore your limits as a human.

Humans are the only species who can breathe as well as they do when they run, and as we evolved, we did so barefoot. Running through forests and canyons and all kinds of surfaces.

Barefoot shoes allow you to become more and reconnected with your original natural ability to move freely.
