Socks For Your Feet

Socks Barefoot

If there is one piece of clothing that does not get researched enough is socks.

If you're a sportsperson there is a good chance you've felt the difference between good and bad socks, but there's more to it than we already know.

Now much like shoes, socks have a big role to play in how our feet breathe, move and can be engaged for maximum comfort and reliability.

Unfortunately most socks in the market, especially those marketed for sports are super narrow and pull all toes together.

This creates a physiological disadvantage. With toes cramped up together, engaging the arch muscle becomes super tricky. The tripod stance of the foot also takes a toll and overall balance goes off.

It is important to wear socks that can actually allow your toes to splay wide.

There are a lot of options in the international market - there are five toe socks, even big toe socks that allow for the toes to be free and mobile inside of your shoes.
There are also anatomically designed socks which are designed separately for the left and the right foot, where they are super wide at the toes.

We at Zen Barefoot have taken the middle road. Created socks that are super stretchable so the socks don't actively push your toes together, but at the same time, there is grip around the midfoot so they don't slide during active play.

It is important we keep our feet healthy and moving. After all, these are the body parts that carry and move our entire selves.
